Stephens Bakery is seeking a Despatch Operative to support order fulfilment in our busy bakery. You will pack, pick, inspect and prepare products for delivery, ensuring high hygiene and food safety standards.

This full-time role involves standing for long periods, manual handling and working at a fast pace; training is provided and a positive Can Do Attitude is valued.

Despatch Operative – Full Time - Stephens Bakery

Hours: 39 hours per week (5 days over 7)

Shift Times: 8.00pm to 12am until 4:30am to 8:30am (Depending on Rota)

Starting Pay: £14.65 per hour increasing to £15.16 after probation period

About the Role

As a Despatch Operative, you will assist in the fulfilment of orders of our award-winning products, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, output, quality, hygiene and health & safety.

What You’ll Do

• Packing and picking savoury products and bread rolls.
• Inspecting products to ensure high quality and legal compliance.
• Reading order lists and counting products.
• Carrying out cleaning duties in the Bakery and packaging area ensuring a high standard of hygiene/sanitation.
• Lifting and bending, placing and stacking completed products in the correct area for delivery drivers.
