Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role in Loughborough. You will support the Contract and Project Manager teams with commercial and financial management, monitor costs, and enhance contract value in the steel fabrication sector.

The role requires steel industry experience, NEC/JCT contract knowledge, and strong communication and organisational skills. A full UK driving licence is essential and a flexible approach to working hours is needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction and steel quantity surveying, including NEC and JCT contracts.
• CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) is preferred.
• Holds a relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Well organised with good time management skills and an accurate, methodical approach to financial data.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide QS support to Contract and Project Managers.
• Assist in development of contract programmes and application dates.
• Ensure schedules and valuations are aligned with contract requirements.
• Administer valuations and pricing of variations.
• Maintain cost value reconciliations and track job costs.
• Liaise with purchasing department on procurement of goods and services.
