Job summary

Upfront Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for its construction & structural steel portfolio. The role covers pricing, procurement, and cost control from initial pricing through to final accounts, engaging with design, fabrication, and construction teams across a varied range of projects.

The successful candidate will be commercially minded, with experience in structural steel or similar sectors, and will manage costs across multiple projects within a growing family business environment

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial management of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of construction and structural steel projects.
• Cost control, forecasting and monitoring expenditure against budgets.
• Preparing and reviewing valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Procurement and management of subcontractor and supplier costs.
• Reviewing project costs, identifying commercial risks and maintaining accurate records.
• Working closely with project, design, fabrication and operational teams.
