Job summary

MTS Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Stainless Steel MIG Welder for an engineering and fabrication workshop in Basingstoke. The role offers ongoing, long-term work with 40–50 hours per week and the chance to contribute to high-quality stainless steel fabrication from engineering drawings.

The successful candidate will have strong MIG welding skills, read drawings accurately, and maintain a high standard of finish while working flexible hours when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Stainless Steel Welder.
• Strong MIG welding experience.
• Confident welding stainless steel.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Good fabrication and fitting skills.
• Ability to work accurately and maintain a high standard of finish.
• Reliable and able to work additional hours when required.

We are currently looking for an experienced Stainless Steel MIG Welder to join a busy engineering and fabrication workshop based in Basingstoke.

This is an ongoing position, offering consistent hours and the opportunity to work between 40 and 50 hours per week.

The Role

The Stainless Steel Welder will be responsible for welding and fabricating stainless steel components to a high standard. Duties will include working from engineering drawings, preparing materials, fitting components and completing welds accurately to specification.

You will be expected to produce clean, consistent welds and carry out finishing work where required.

• Previous experience as a Stainless Steel Welder
• Strong MIG welding experience
• Confident welding stainless steel
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Good fabrication and fitting skills
