Job summary

Recruit 2 You Ltd in Nottingham is seeking a skilled TIG & MIG Welder to join their manufacturing team. You will weld bespoke stainless steel products using CAD drawings and work on 0.9mm–8mm stainless steel and 1mm–16mm mild steel, supporting both small batches and large runs.

This temporary-to-permanent role offers a pay rate of £14.43–£16.45 per hour, Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm and Friday 7am-12pm, with potential for progression as projects timelines are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with TIG & MIG welding.
• Ability to fabricate small and large batches of products.
• Able to work with 0.9mm-8mm stainless steel and 1mm-16mm mild steel.

Responsibilities

• Weld bespoke and standard stainless steel products to a high quality standard using CAD drawings.
• Work with 0.9mm – 8mm stainless steel and 1mm – 16mm mild steel.
• Fabricate both 1-off/small batches and 100+/- large batches of products.
• Sheet metal work and general fabrication of mild and stainless steel.
• Use air tools and grinding equipment to prepare welds for polishing.
• Maintain welding equipment and adhere to safety guidelines.
• General assembly and sub-assembly work.
• Collaborate with Operations Team to meet project timelines and mitigate risks.

New Opportunity - TIG & MIG Welder

Our client is looking for a TIG & MIG Welder to join their team. In this role you will be using CAD drawings to weld bespoke stainless steel products. The ideal candidate will have a positive working attitude and previous experience with TIG and MIG welding of stainless and mild steel.

As the new TIG & MIG Welder, you will:

• Weld bespoke and standard stainless steel products to a high quality standard using CAD drawings.
• Work with 0.9mm – 8mm stainless steel and 1mm – 16mm mild steel.
• Work with fabricating both 1 off / small and 100+ / large batches of products.
• Sheet metal working and general fabrication of both mild and stainless steel.
• Use of air tools and grinding equipment to clean and prepare welds for polishing.
• Maintain welding equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and adhering to safety guidelines.
• General assembly and sub assembly works.
• Work closely with and support other teams and members of the Operations Team to ensure project timelines are fulfilled and all risks, non-conformances, hidden costs and snags are mitigated / captured.

Requirements for this position:

• Previous experience in TIG & MIG welding.
• Confident with fabricating small and large batches of products.
• The ability to work with 0.9mm - 8mm stainless steel and 1mm - 16mm mild steel.
