Job summary
Optima UK Inc Ltd is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a busy East Midlands workshop. The role focuses on stainless steel fabrications and high-quality bespoke products for UK and international customers.
In this position you will perform MIG and TIG welding, read technical drawings, and fabricate sheet metal components to tight specifications. A supportive workshop team and overtime opportunities are available.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Welder Fabricator is essential.
- Competent in MIG and/or TIG welding.
- Strong experience working with stainless steel.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience fabricating sheet metal components and assemblies.
Responsibilities
- MIG and/or TIG welding of stainless steel components.
- Fabricating stainless steel components and assemblies from technical drawings.
- Cutting, shaping, drilling and assembling stainless steel components.
- Working with sheet metal to produce bespoke fabrications.
- Welding and fabricating to required quality and specification.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Measuring and checking components throughout the fabrication process.
- Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets required quality standards.
- Using hand tools and workshop machinery safely and effectively.

Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 16:00
Up to £18.50 per hour, depending on experience
