Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced MIG Welder & Fabricator to join a growing engineering business in the Tiverton area (Willand). The role focuses on welded fabrication of mild steel and reading engineering drawings.

Salary is £35,000-£39,000 and the standard is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime is available with weekday rates flat, Saturday at time and a half and Sunday at double time.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy and light steel fabrication.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• MIG and TIG welding experience.
• Experience with mild steel and stainless steel.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate components using MIG welding to specified drawings.
• Identify and interpret engineering drawings for production.
• Work with heavy and light steel on fabrication tasks.
• Operate in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Key Requirements

• Competent in fabricating from engineering drawings.
• Experience with sheet metal, mild steel and stainless steel.
• Comfortable working on repetitive tasks.
