Job summary

Sadler’s Wells is seeking a Part Time Stage Door Keeper (20 hours) to ensure artists, visitors and colleagues feel welcome, supported and informed from arrival. The role covers venues with emphasis at Sadler’s Wells East, combining superb customer service with safety, security and organisation.

You’ll greet visiting artists and the public, coordinate deliveries and support backstage operations, contributing to a friendly and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a welcoming, inclusive approach.
• Experience operating a switchboard or working on a reception.
• Good organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Understanding of safety, security, confidentiality and safeguarding in public settings.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a warm, professional welcome.
• Support safety and security routines across venues, primarily at Sadler's Wells East.
• Coordinate deliveries and assist colleagues behind the scenes as needed.
