Job summary

HID is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Cardiff to join the Customer Facing Tools team within PACS. You will develop and maintain an enterprise-scale software solution for managing physical access devices, such as RFID readers and biometrics, and integrate with cloud services.

The role requires 7+ years in software development, strong English communication, and the ability to work in a multinational environment. Hybrid work with two remote days per week is available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (engineering, computer science) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Experience developing networked applications and integrating with devices.
• Experience building REST APIs and WebSocket communication.
• Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle (SSDL).

Responsibilities
