Job summary

HID Global in Cardiff is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to develop and debug firmware for PACS RFID access control products. You will work in small Agile teams, manage multiple products across life cycles, and collaborate with colleagues onsite and overseas.

Responsibilities include implementing embedded firmware designs in C/C#, creating design documentation, and debugging at the hardware‑software interface. Travel may be required, and a degree with 1+ year experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent academic or industry experience.
• Minimum 1+ year of related industry experience.
• Experience with embedded C, bare metal and RTOS applications.

Responsibilities

• Implement embedded firmware designs and test solutions in C and C#.
• Creation of design documentation.
• Hands-on experience debugging embedded systems.
• Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
