Job summary

HID seeks a Senior DevTest Engineer Biometrics in Cardiff to drive automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline for HID PACS. You will help implement a scalable test environment and define test plans that ensure high release quality and early defect detection.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• +4 years in related industry experience.
• Experience with device testing, embedded firmware, or software testing.
• Cloud & IAC: AWS/Azure; Terraform; Docker; CI/CD integration.
• Test-as-code: tests written as code; pipeline execution and release gating.
• NUnit test framework.
• Biometric devices experience.
• Test orchestration tools: AWS CodePipeline, Codeship, Travis CI, CircleCI, GitHub Actions.
• API testing: REST and NATs; XML/JSON structures.
• Version control: Mercurial and/or Bitbucket/Git.
• BLE, I2C, SPI, NFC/RFID familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a scalable, CI/CD-enabled test environment.
• Build and document updated CI/CD infrastructure for new features.
• Develop and execute Test Plans and Test Cases from product specs.
• Design and implement test solutions within defined parameters.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify objectives and viable solutions.
• Monitor, triage, and resolve CI/CD pipeline test failures.
• Present test reports to stakeholders; ensure end-to-end quality.
