Job Description

This role involves leading the development of GM's Motorsports aero-thermal applications, including CFD modeling, visualization, and analysis. The position requires technical leadership, hands-on project contributions, and experience in scalable cloud systems. The candidate will shape and implement solutions that give GM Motorsports a competitive edge in racing and vehicle development, with a focus on aerodynamics systems design.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team to develop and maintain aero-thermal applications, including CFD models and visualization tools.
  2. Design solution architectures and lead team consensus on technical approaches.
  3. Focus on modern, modular application design, ensuring high code quality and system integration.
  4. Collaborate with the aerodynamics team to identify and implement value-adding solutions.
  5. Resolve technical blockers and ensure smooth project delivery.
  6. Manage scrum story delivery and contribute to implementation architectures, interfaces, build frameworks, testing, and deployment.
  7. Support team collaboration and maintain self-managed delivery.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Expertise in CFD systems, microservices, or data streaming platforms.
  • Experience in full stack application development and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • At least 5 years in microservices development and 2 years in web services design.
  • Proficiency with containers (Kubernetes, Docker), devops, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills
  • Master's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Knowledge of aerodynamics engineering, AI & ML, VR frameworks, data streaming technologies, cross-platform development, UI/UX design, system architecture, data serialization techniques, and a passion for motorsports.
