Job Description:

This role involves leading the development of GM Motorsports aero-thermal applications, including CFD modeling, visualization, and analysis. The position requires technical leadership, solution architecture design, and hands-on development in cloud-based environments. The engineer will work closely with the Motorsports team to provide a competitive advantage on race day and contribute to vehicle development.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of developers for GM Motorsports aero-thermal applications, including CFD models and visualization.
  2. Design solution architectures and lead the team in implementation.
  3. Focus on modern application design, modular frameworks, and loosely connected systems.
  4. Identify value gaps within the aerodynamics team and develop solutions.
  5. Resolve technical blockers and ensure smooth delivery milestones.
  6. Manage scrum story delivery and contribute to build frameworks, testing, and deployment.
  7. Collaborate with team members and support project goals.
  8. Deliver reliable and self-managed solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Expertise in CFD systems, microservices, or data streaming platforms.
  • Experience with full-stack application development and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • 5+ years in microservices development.
  • 2+ years in web services design and development.
  • Knowledge of containers (Kubernetes, Docker), CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Exposure to aerodynamics engineering.
  • Knowledge of AI & Machine Learning, VR frameworks, data streaming technologies, cross-platform development, and UI/UX design.
  • Leadership and system architecture experience.
