The Team:
GM’s Motorsports Software team develops innovative IT solutions for motorsports, using cloud infrastructure and software standards to enable interactions between GM Engineering, Motorsports, and Race teams, supporting NASCAR, IndyCar, and IMSA teams.
The Role:
The Staff Software Engineer provides technical leadership and software delivery, with expertise in scalable cloud systems, solution architecture, and hands-on development, particularly in aerodynamics systems design.
Responsibilities include leading development teams for GM Motorsports aero-thermal applications, designing solution architectures, ensuring code quality, collaborating across teams, and managing delivery milestones.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, extensive experience in CFD, microservices, cloud platforms, and web services, along with skills in containerization, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, aerodynamics exposure, AI/ML knowledge, VR development experience, data streaming technologies, and leadership skills.
