Overview

Band 5 Staff Nurse opportunity on Ward 4 in Ysbyty Cwm Cynon Community Hospital, near Mountain Ash. The hospital supports rehabilitation and complex discharge planning. We are seeking highly motivated band 5 nurses to support patients in achieving a safe discharge and to contribute to an expanding rehabilitation service.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the management of a group of patients and, on occasion, take charge of the ward/department and its resources for the duration of duty.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Support and supervise junior staff.
  • Maintain accurate, current, comprehensive, and concise records concerning the patient’s condition, in line with NMC Standards for Record Keeping and the UHB Patient Record Policy.
  • Liaise with Clinical Specialists (Doctors, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Clinical Nurse Specialists) regarding individual patient requirements and planned care programmes.
Welsh Skills Desirable

This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. Welsh language skills are an advantage for shortlisting; fluency is not required. Level 3 Speaking & Listening (CEFR B2) or above is referenced.
