Job description
Staff Nurse

The closing date is 23 December 2025.

We are currently searching for a Staff Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner to join our experienced team for day and night rotation to ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility and to work as part of the multi‑disciplinary team ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of care to the patients. You must be a qualified, experienced RN/ODP preferably within an acute setting although this is not essential.

The Post Operation Ward spans four geographical areas of the hospital, including Main Recovery, Ophthalmology, Brachytherapy and the Day Stay Unit of which the successful candidate will be required to rotate.

Main duties of the job
  • To provide and maintain high standards of patient care
  • To develop and maintain good patient management and organisational skills
  • To provide effective support to your nurse‑in‑charge and ensuring self‑development in the day‑to‑day management of the ward
  • Assess, plan and implement patient care plans, evaluate care given, and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
