Jobgether SRL in the United Kingdom is seeking a Staff Engineer – Pricing to own the pricing API and the data-heavy backend that powers real energy contracts. You’ll lead architectural decoupling, establish engineering standards, and enable third-party access while balancing speed, accuracy, and explainability.

This remote-first role emphasizes AI-assisted workflows, cross-team collaboration, and robust monitoring to detect pricing issues before they affect customers.

Formación

• Deep production experience with Python backend engineering and API design.
• Experience taking ownership of production systems and acting as senior escalation point.
• Proven track record leading significant decoupling, migration, or architectural transformation.
• Strong proficiency with FastAPI and SQL, preferably in data-intensive systems.
• Experience designing systems prioritizing data accuracy, performance, reliability, and explainability.
• Ability to drive technical direction across boundaries and negotiate ownership models.
• Experience using AI coding tools as part of engineering workflows.
• Ability to design multi-agent engineering workflows to improve throughput.

Responsabilidades

• Build, evolve, and operate the Pricing API for speed, reliability, and third-party consumption.
• Lead extraction of pricing logic into a dedicated service with clean boundaries.
• Manage architectural migrations and decoupling while preserving functionality.
• Own pricing reliability with detection, monitoring, and alerting of prices.
• Explain pricing failures with robust diagnosis mechanisms.
• Improve pricing performance and reduce quote latency through architecture and code optimizations.
• Serve as senior technical authority in the pricing domain and influence decisions.
• Advance engineering across teams via pairing, guidance, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Act as escalation point for live pricing incidents and implement durable improvements.
