Job summary

Jobgether SRL seeks a Lead Engineer, AI Platform based in the United Kingdom. You will lead the engineering foundation behind AI-powered features, building evaluation frameworks, observability tooling, and diagnostic infrastructure for production AI agents.

You will balance hands-on development with technical leadership, shaping the AI Quality function and guiding experiments across models, prompts, and architectures in a highly remote, asynchronous environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of production software experience, ideally with LLM-powered agents.
• Experience with multi-tool AI systems involving planning, orchestration, or sub-agents.
• Proven track record shipping reliable software and measuring impact.
• Proficient in Ruby on Rails and/or Python, with quick learning of new tech.
• Experience building evaluation/observability infrastructure for ML/AI systems.
• Familiarity with evaluation frameworks like Braintrust or LangSmith.
• Excellent English proficiency (CEFR C2).

Responsibilities

• Design and own evaluation infrastructure, datasets, and CI/CD pipelines for AI agents.
• Develop observability and diagnostic capabilities across agent workflows.
• Investigate failures and translate findings into prototypes and priorities for AI teams.
• Expand datasets via human annotation and AI-generated examples.
• Develop experimentation frameworks for prompts, models, and agents.
• Identify opportunities to reduce AI system cost and latency.
• Lead the AI Quality team while contributing hands-on engineering.
• Collaborate with AI Core teams to measure impact and improvements.
