Job summary

Jobgether SRL in the United Kingdom seeks a Tech Lead for Payments and Billing to drive the next generation of payments infrastructure for a scaling energy platform. You will lead a Payments squad, own delivery outcomes, and shape the architecture while remaining hands-on in design, code reviews, and implementation.

The role combines leadership with engineering delivery, architecture, and coaching across a remote-first, fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading a delivery-focused team.
Background in payments domain preferred.
Hands-on ability with design, code reviews and architecture.

Responsibilities

Own the overall delivery outcomes of the Payments squad and ensure high-quality software.
Set technical and architectural direction for the payments domain for future scale.
Write technical specs, review ARs and PRs, and contribute to implementation.
Solve complex engineering problems with the team and maintain long-term technical vision.
Define the squad's operating model and balance speed with quality and resilience.
Improve payment accuracy and processing efficiency while reducing costs.
Identify blockers and keep delivery progress visible to stakeholders.
Coach junior engineers and raise engineering quality across the squad.
Communicate what good engineering looks like through hands-on collaboration.
