Job summary

Royal Hospital Chelsea is seeking an proactiv e Internal Communications Officer on a 12-month fixed term contract. You will lead internal comms, craft engaging content, and work with senior leaders to align messages with our mission.

You’ll promote staff engagement, manage intranet channels and support organisational change, ensuring Chelsea Pensioners and staff feel informed and connected across the trust. Strong writing and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience creating content for internal audiences across channels such as email, intranet and town halls.
• Proven ability to plan, write and edit internal communications that align with organisational objectives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience supporting organisational change and staff engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of internal communications activities across the hospital.
• Develop clear, engaging messaging with senior leaders and across departments.
• Support the fundraising narrative through internal communications.
• Promote staff engagement initiatives and pulse surveys, and support action planning.
• Manage intranet content and other internal channels, keeping information up-to-date.
• Provide advice on communications planning, audiences and channels.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on communications effectiveness to inform decisions.
• Coordinate communications with Chelsea Pensioners and tailor messages to their needs.
