Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Sporty Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Primary, Secondary, or SEN settings in Rhondda Cynon Taff. You will use sport and movement to engage learners and assist teachers with classroom activities, including small-group support and behavioural regulation.

The role involves building caring relationships with pupils, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• ALN/SEN experience is beneficial.
• Sporty, energetic, confident in leading active learning sessions.
• Ability to quickly build supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across Primary, Secondary, or SEN settings.
• Provide tailored assistance to children with ALN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning delays).
• Use sport, movement, and active tasks to engage learners.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities, small-group support, and behavioural regulation.
• Build positive, nurturing relationships with pupils to support academic and emotional growth.
• Promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.
