Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary, secondary and SEN schools in Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr & Caerphilly. Competitive daily pay and flexible full/part-time roles start Oct 2026.

Responsibilities include supporting learners with ALN, assisting teachers, and delivering small-group support to boost confidence and skills. Welsh language ability is a bonus but not essential.

We are looking for caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across primary, secondary, and SEN schools in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. About the Role

• Support pupils across a range of ages and abilities, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
• Assist class teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils build confidence and key learning skills.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to different school environments.
• Confident working with children of different ages and backgrounds.
• A team player with good communication skills.
• (Bonus) A Welsh speaker – this would be a great advantage but is not essential.
