Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary, secondary and SEN schools in Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr & Caerphilly. Competitive daily pay and flexible full/part-time roles start Oct 2026.

Responsibilities include supporting learners with ALN, assisting teachers, and delivering small-group support to boost confidence and skills. Welsh language ability is a bonus but not essential.

Qualifications

• Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration
• Enhanced DBS checked on Update Service
• References covering the past two years

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across a range of ages and abilities, including ALN.
• Assist class teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to build confidence and learning skills.
• Encourage positive behaviour and inclusive learning environments.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs.
