Specifications Technologist - Fixed Term Contract - 6 Months

Contract Type: FTC - 6 months

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Remote-based role with flexibility required for business needs, including one week on-site for training, induction, and team days.

Location

This role is based at our Bakkavor Meals site in Park Royal, West London, which includes three factories and a distribution centre. The factories produce chilled ready meals, houmous dips, deli products, and savoury accompaniments, employing over 2,000 staff.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Specifications Technologist to join our Technical team. Key responsibilities include:

1. Completing finished product specifications to meet critical path and customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and first-time right delivery.
2. Reviewing finished product artwork checks to ensure critical path compliance.
3. Maintaining retailer online systems and ensuring specifications and site details are current and accurate.
4. Managing customer interface professionally and contributing to audits and visits.
5. Conducting audits as part of the internal audit team.
6. Supporting technical systems with data entry for customer complaints, KPI reports, and analytical data.
7. Administering projects to ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
8. Managing the nutritional verification schedule.
9. Performing general office duties such as filing, archiving, and document lamination.
10. Performing other duties as required to support the Technical Services Team.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have experience as a Specifications Technologist or in a similar role, with skills in specification writing. Food Science graduates interested in nutrition and product specifications are encouraged to apply. Key qualities include:
