Role: Specification Technologist - 12 month FTC

Location: Fully remote

Russell Taylor Group has multiple Specification Technologist roles available, ideally starting from April 1st, 2025. Candidates should have experience and understanding of labelling requirements and retailer policies to ensure food product data compliance with UK regulations and support retailer customer needs.

Responsibilities

1. Check and approve specifications and artwork for UK retailers.
2. Interpret and apply legal guidelines for clients.
3. Provide clear solutions for product information and labelling.
4. Adhere to policies and guidelines.
5. Explain decisions to clients and advise retailers on best practices for food product labelling to meet UK regulations.
6. Monitor industry changes to ensure compliance with evolving legal and consumer standards.

The Person

1. Experience working for a food manufacturer or retailer.
2. Experience reviewing specifications and packaging copy.
3. Knowledge of artwork review, formulation review, and regulatory aspects in the food or supplement industry.
4. Experience with artwork systems and packages.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large data sets.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
