Job Description: Technologist at MM Flowers

MM Flowers, a leading supplier of fresh cut flowers and bouquets in the UK and Europe, is seeking a dedicated Technologist to join our team. Established in 2007 and based in Alconbury, Huntingdon, we pride ourselves on quality, innovation, and sustainability. The successful candidate will support our technical team by managing specifications, labelling, and administrative tasks, ensuring products meet safety, quality, and legal standards from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Management: Develop relationships with customer technologists, assist with technical matters, ensure alignment with commercial and NPD goals, and prepare reports and data insights.
2. Product Management: Support commercial proposals, collaborate on market research and development, benchmark raw materials and finished products, and contribute to sourcing decisions.
3. Functional Management: Work with teams across the company, advise on quality systems, and maintain accurate database records.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience in the horticultural or retail industry is beneficial.
• Understanding of plant biology, breeding, growing, and post-harvest processes.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
