St Martin's Church of England Infant School is seeking a Specific 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to support a child in EYFS within a classroom setting. The role involves 1:1 support, promoting engagement, and working under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.

Salary : £17,686 - £18,006 pro rata per annum (FTE £24,510)
Hours: Term-time only (38 weeks), 30 hours per week, 08:45-15:30 (includes 45-minutes unpaid breaks).

We are seeking to appoint a Specific 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to support a child in EYFS with special educational needs within a classroom setting. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs, flexible in their approach, and able to work effectively as part of a team. You will deliver a bespoke curriculum for the child, with guidance and support from the class teacher and SENDCo.
Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs
Support the pupil— and others where appropriate— with their daily routine, learning, emotional regulation, behaviour, social interactions, and self-care.
Build supportive, caring, secure, and trusting relationships with the pupil.
Under the guidance of the class teacher/SENDCo, implement appropriate programmes to support children with Special Educational Needs.
Promote pupil engagement and independence.
Work with external professionals to plan and deliver provision for pupils with high levels of need.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers.
Carry out personal care duties if required.
Undertake wider classroom duties as directed by the class teacher.
Provide lunchtime supervision in the dining hall and/or playground areas.
