Job summary

Brent Knoll Primary Pre-school is seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND. The role is 12.5 hours per week (Wednesday and Friday) on a fixed-term basis while the child remains with us, with potential hours increasing when the pupil starts full-time education.

As part of the team you will implement Individual Learning Plans, work with the keyworker and SENDCo, and help the pupil thrive.

Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting children with additional needs, including SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A nurturing, patient and positive approach to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
  • Initiative, flexibility and the ability to adapt within a busy classroom environment.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to promoting the welfare of all children.
  • A commitment to upholding and promoting the values and ethos of the school & Trust.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us at Brent Knoll Primary Pre-school. We are looking for a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide 1:1 support to a pupil in our pre-school with SEND and help them thrive in their learning journey. As a SEND LSA, you will: Support a specific pupil with their learning, development, and well-being. Assist in implementing Individual Learning Plans, working closely with the keyworker and pre-school manager and SENDCo to adapt learning activities. Encourage inclusion, independence, and positive engagement in theclassroom

Candidates will need to demonstrate:
