Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is seeking a Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a full-time role in Swindon. You will assist with daily routines, learning activities and personal care under training provisions, promoting independence and positive behaviour.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with movement and handling needs where necessary.
  • Assisting with personal care and medical needs when required (full training provided).
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Supervising pupils during breaktimes and lunchtimes.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff to meet pupils' individual needs.
  • Supporting pupils at the end of the school day and ensuring safe departure arrangements.

We are seeking caring, dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join a specialist educational setting as a full-time Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs, helping them to access education, develop independence and achieve their full potential.

No two days are the same, and you'll play a vital role in creating a positive, safe and engaging learning environment for all pupils.

Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:
