Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with SEND in a welcoming school in Kingston upon Thames. You will help pupils feel safe, understood and confident, building trust through patient, compassionate guidance and consistent support.

Role involves 1:1 or small-group work, adapting activities to individual needs and collaborating with teachers and SEN professionals to promote communication and independence.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD or complex needs.
  • Patience, nurturing approach and ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication and empathy to build trust with pupils.

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school, helping pupils with additional needs feel safe, understood, and confident in their learning. In this role, patience and compassionare essential. Every child learns differently, and your ability to build trust, provide encouragement, and remain calm and consistent will make a lasting difference.

  • Work closely with teachers and SEN professionals

  • Strong communication skills and genuine empathy
  • The ability to build positive relationships and provide consistent support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
