Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to provide a specialist service for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs in mainstream schools and early years settings.

The role requires involvement with education staff, families and a multidisciplinary team to plan, deliver and review evidence-based interventions, training, and reports for statutory assessment where required.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
• Registration with HCPC (License to Practice).
• Registered with Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
• Evidence of completed postgraduate courses.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and therapy for CYP with speech, language needs in education settings.
• Engage education staff, families and other professionals in planning and programming.
• Promote child speech, language and communication in schools and with BEA Services.
• Lead multidisciplinary collaboration and supervise junior staff where appropriate.
• Deliver training sessions for staff and carers; develop and review IEPs and targets.
• Maintain accurate case notes and professional records; ensure HCPC standards.
