Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to provide a clinical and advisory SLT service to children in special schools in Bexley. The role focuses on assessment, therapy and supporting education staff to improve communication outcomes.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with supervision from senior SLTs, and contribute to training sessions for school staff, parents, and carers, in line with RCSLT/HCPC standards.

Qualifications

• HCPC Registration or eligibility
• Experience in education settings

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and therapy for children with speech and language needs, including complex communication needs.
• Reflect on communication modalities and identify strategies to improve interaction.
• Manage a high caseload with regular clinical supervision.
• Deliver care in line with RCSLT/HCPC guidelines.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate evidence-based interventions.
• Involve client, family, education staff and professionals in care planning.
• Reflect on clinical practice and demonstrate sound practice.
