Job summary

A leading public sector recruitment agency seeks a Specialist Practitioner in Safeguarding Adults for a full-time locum position in Gloucestershire. This role allows for flexible working arrangements and includes an initial two-week office-based induction. Candidates must have a Social Work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and possess substantial experience in Adult Safeguarding. Qualifications

• Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England are mandatory.
• Experience in Adult Safeguarding or Adult Social Care is essential.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, models, and theories in Adult Social Work is required.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Adults Safeguarding Team.
• Engage in office and home-based agile working.
• Conduct local visits only, no long-distance travel required.
• Participate in induction and ongoing local visits for meetings or supervision.

⏰ Monday to Friday | 09:00 - 17:00

💷 Up to £39.00 per hour

📆 Minimum 6-month contract (with potential extension)

🔍 About the Role

• Work within the Adults Safeguarding Team

• Office & home-based role with agile working

• No long-distance travelling required - local visits only

• Based at Shire Hall, Gloucester

• Initial 2-week office-based induction, followed by remote working with up to 2-3 days per week locally for visits, meetings, or supervision

✅ What We're Looking For

To join us, you'll need to have:

• ✔️ Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
• ✔️ Completed ASYE or equivalent demonstrable statutory experience
• ✔️ Proven experience in Adult Safeguarding or Adult Social Care
• ✔️ Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, models, and theories within Adult Social Work
