NHS Fife Sexual Health Service invites applications for a 1.5 session (6-hour) permanent post as a Specialist (SAS) Doctor in Vasectomy Care within the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership.
We seek a dynamic and enthusiastic colleague to join our outpatient vasectomy service based in a community Sexual Health clinic in Fife. The role involves providing comprehensive Specialist (SAS) medical leadership and oversight of vasectomy care for patients referred for outpatient local anaesthetic vasectomy. You will support high-quality, human-centered care through clinical governance and service improvement initiatives.
Applicants should have at least 10 years of medical experience since obtaining a primary medical qualification, with a minimum of six years in a relevant specialty as a Specialty Doctor or equivalent SAS grade. Experience from other medical grades, including overseas, will be considered. Completion of a recognized vasectomy training program and the ability to work independently, as well as to train medical staff in vasectomy procedures, are essential.
