Job description

We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and reliable Care and Support Assistant to provide dedicated support to one gentleman with autism. This role is primarily focused on building a trusting relationship with him, understanding his individual needs, and helping him to live a fulfilling, independent life. A key aspect of this role is developing and maintaining a positive, professional relationship with his family. You will liaise regularly with family members, communicating effectively, sharing relevant updates, and working collaboratively to ensure a consistent, person-centred approach that meets his needs and promotes his wellbeing. While your main responsibility will be supporting this individual, you will also be expected to provide care and support to other service users within the service as required. This includes promoting independence, assisting with daily living activities, supporting social and community engagement, and ensuring the wellbeing, dignity, and individual choices of everyone you support.

And the best part? You get just as much back. The gratitude, the stories, the smiles that stay with you.
