Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEND Tutor to provide personalised educational support on a 1:1 basis for children and young people in Wrexham. This role offers flexible hours (5–15 hours per week) starting September 2026, with ongoing duration.

The ideal candidate has experience with SEND, teaching or mentoring, and holds QTS or equivalent. You will adapt teaching to individual learners, help overcome barriers to education, build confidence and enable progress in a supportive learning

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience in teaching, tutoring or mentoring.
• QTS or equivalent qualification desirable.
• Experience supporting SEMH, Autism, ADHD or other additional needs.

We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate SEND Tutor to work on a 1:1 basis with children and young people who require additional support with their education.

The successful candidate will adapt their teaching to suit the individual learner, helping them overcome barriers to education, develop confidence and make positive progress.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND

To be eligible for this role, you must

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
