Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEND Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 tuition for children and young people across the Wirral. This role focuses on personalised learning to help learners build confidence and acquire key skills.

You'll join a supportive team, deliver flexible 5-15 hours per week starting September 2026, and work with students who require additional educational support. Right to work in the UK and a DBS with Update Service are required or willing to obtain them.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or teaching.
• QTS or an equivalent qualification (desirable).
• A patient, adaptable and engaging approach.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• DBS check registered with Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Provide two professional child-related references.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 tuition to children and young people with SEND.

The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced and compassionate SEND Tutors to provide tailored 1:1 tuition to children and young people across the Wirral.

As a SEND Tutor, you'll work closely with learners who require additional support due to a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. By delivering personalised lessons, you'll help students build confidence, develop key skills and achieve meaningful educational progress.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or teaching
• QTS or an equivalent qualification (desirable)
• A patient, adaptable and engaging approach

To be eligible, you must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
• Provide two professional child-related references
