Job summary

Smile Education is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a small SEN school in Market Harborough. The role involves providing in-class support to pupils with autism and additional needs, across a range of ages.

You will help pupils engage with learning, support communication, independence and positive behaviour, and work closely with teachers and the wider school team to create a calm, nurturing environment.

This is a long-term, ongoing contract with start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND/autism (training provided).
• Patient and caring demeanor.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Confident working as part of a team.
• Commitment to making a genuine difference to pupils' lives.
