Job summary

Smile Education Recruitment is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a specialist primary SEND school in Lichfield. You will support pupils with a range of SEND needs, both in and out of the classroom, and help deliver inclusive learning activities under the guidance of teachers.

Successful candidates will be patient, caring, adaptable and possess strong communication and teamwork skills, with a genuine passion for helping children flourish and meet individual development goals.

Qualifications

• A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
• The ability to provide a minimum of two years' employment and/or education references.
• At least one reference must comment on your experience and interaction when working with children or young people.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.

Due to ongoing demand, the school is looking for multiple Teaching Assistants to provide additional classroom support and cover staff absence, training and other school requirements.
