Job summary

We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join our team from September 2026, to work with SEND pupils under the guidance of teaching staff and to assist in managing pupils and the classroom.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or equivalent in teaching assistance.
• Some experience of working with children with SEND.
• Good interpersonal, numeracy and literacy skills.
• Understanding safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work under instruction to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning.
• Assist the teacher in managing pupils and the classroom.
• Promote a positive ethos and role model positive attributes.
