Job summary

Academics is recruiting a Teaching and Learning Assistant to support pupils in primary schools across the South Staffs area. The role can be part-time or full-time, starting September 2026, with a daily rate of £93–£100 depending on experience. You will work directly with class teachers to enhance teaching and learning for children with diverse needs.

The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants and has experience with SEND. Paediatric First Aid is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary pupils with varying needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with staff, external professionals and students.
• Ability to use initiative and follow guidance while supporting teaching.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with varying needs alongside class teachers.
• Assist with delivering activities and supporting learning in primary classes.
• Temporary long-term role via a supply agency with safeguarding checks.
