Job summary

Youth Foundations Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher to join Howard House School in Bedlington, Northumberland. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) with a salary of £30,888.35 - £40,343.96 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status and have experience teaching vulnerable children, with strong safeguarding knowledge and a commitment to personalised, quality-first teaching aligned to EHCP needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status and teaching experience with vulnerable children.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional resilience.
• Knowledge of Local Authority and National SEND expectations incl. 2014 Code of Practice.
• Safeguarding awareness and ability to maintain discipline.
• Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative.
• Commitment to CPD and reflective practice.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards in line with Teachers' Standards.
• Be responsible for student attainment and progress.
• Ensure Quality First Teaching accelerates progress.
• Lead a curriculum area to raise school standards.
• Plan and deliver a bespoke curriculum under EHCP needs.
