AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited is seeking a C++ software engineer to join the spacecraft simulation team in Stevenage. You will design and develop simulators and test benches that support multiple departments in validating spacecraft functionality.

Join a collaborative team, focus on architecture while gathering requirements, balancing performance, security, reliability and compliance, in a permanent role based in Stevenage.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ development skills in robust client/server architectures.
• Experience managing the full software development life cycle from requirements to testing.
• Comfortable with legacy/historic technology.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix environments (Red Hat).
• Familiarity with UML or similar OO analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Work on spacecraft simulation software for ESA and UK MOD missions.
• Design and develop simulators and test benches to validate spacecraft functionality.
• Collaborate with testers, designers and architects across teams to ensure integration.
