AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited is seeking a Software Engineer in Stevenage with hybrid working options. The role focuses on design and development of onboard software for vehicle functions, data management, and embedded systems, including integration with satellite hardware and ESA projects.

You will contribute across the software life cycle, gain exposure to space hardware environments, and have opportunities to progress to Software Expert, Delivery Manager or Team Lead, depending on

Qualifications

• Proficient in software design and development in an embedded environment (C or Java).
• Experience on Linux development and integration.

Responsibilities

• Analyse complex relationships and implement On Board software solutions for future satellite programs.
• Create concepts for software changes based on project documents (Development Plan, System Requirements Specification, Architecture Design Document, Validation/Verification Plans).
• Support all phases of the Software life cycle from requirements to delivery.
• Participate in unit and system integration tests and hardware/software integration tests.
