Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited is offering an internship in Stevenage for students in Science or Engineering. You will work on propulsion design, analysis and testing within a cross-disciplinary team, gaining exposure to complex missions and spacecraft systems.

The role emphasizes leadership, initiative and a passion for engineering and space, with hybrid working options and a 37-hour week. Applicants should be enrolled in a relevant degree and able to obtain security approvals as required.

Qualifications

• Studying towards a degree in Science or Engineering.
• Leadership experience is required or advantageous.
• Work experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work on a wide variety of Science and Telecom projects as a propulsion engineer.
• Generate propulsion system specifications and perform design, performance and analysis.
• Prepare spacecraft test plans and verification analyses.
• Undertake design and structural analysis of Airbus tanks and piping.
• Engage in concurrent engineering with system interfaces across disciplines.
• Produce technical documents and presentations for reviews.
• Support project design reviews and telemetry/tele-commanding reviews.
