Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited is offering an internship in Stevenage for undergraduates. You will support a range of thermal engineering activities and gain hands-on experience in analysis, modeling, and testing across missions.

As part of the Thermal Analysis & Space Physics team, you will work with tools like Excel and Python and participate in process improvements, with supervision from a senior engineer. Flexible working options are available depending on the role.

Qualifications

• Open to Undergraduates for the whole duration of the placement.
• Please include a CV along with a Cover Letter outlining motivation and suitability for the role.
• Ideally pursuing a degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Design/CAD or IT.

Responsibilities

• Broadening knowledge and experience in thermal engineering, supporting analysis and testing campaigns.
• Support a lead thermal engineer to build and maintain thermal models to customer requirements.
• Develop tools and analysis techniques to improve department efficiency.
• Gain experience using Microsoft Excel, Python, and dedicated thermal/space physics software.
