Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Stevenage is seeking an internship student to support the mechanical analysis function for a 12-month placement. You will learn analysis skills from experienced engineers while contributing to space hardware projects.

Qualifications

• Studying towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering with a 2:1 prediction.
• Understanding of the fundamental principles of structural analysis.
• Familiarity with mechanical simulation software.
• Proficiency with MS Excel; MATLAB is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Some programming skills would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing analysis tools to improve our processes.
• Performing mechanical analysis to support the design or test phase of ongoing space hardware projects.
