Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Stevenage is offering a 12-month internship in manufacturing engineering for undergraduates. Start date 19 July 2027.

The role includes preparing test and launch documentation, working with a small specialist team, operating propulsion test equipment, and ensuring quality and safety. Open to undergraduates pursuing engineering degrees; familiarity with mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical principles is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studying towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Familiarity with mechanical and pneumatic systems, gases and basic electrical principles.
• Understanding of mechanical or aerospace engineering settings is beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team under tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test and launch documentation within propulsion system requirements.
• Work in a small, specialist multi-disciplinary project team.
• Manufacture, maintain and operate propulsion test equipment.
• Perform test and launch services to strict quality and safety standards.
• Occasional off-site work may be required.
• Liaise with representatives and subcontractors for test requirements and GSE servicing.
