Job summary

MDA Space in the UK is seeking an AIT Engineer for our Stevenage office to advance integration and testing of satellite payloads and related subsystems, delivering reliable performance for complex space missions.

You will perform electrical integration to test benches, create automated test scripts, develop test plans from specifications, and lead environmental campaigns such as thermal vacuum and vibration.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in the space industry in a similar position.
• Electrical engineering background or experience testing electrical subsystems on satellite payloads.
• Knowledge of communications electronics.
• Knowledge of AIT campaigns for communications electronics and/or satellite missions.
• Experience in scripting and test automation using Python, C, or similar.
• Knowledge of analog circuits and mixed-signal measurement techniques.
• Knowledge of digital, power and RF electronics at system level.
• Proactive, resourceful and capable of leading from the front.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical integration of the unit under test to test benches and equipment.
• Create test plans and procedures from test specifications to verify requirements.
• Perform functional and performance testing.
• Create automated test scripts to control the UUT and EGSE.
• Produce technical reports after test execution.
• Prepare for and support environmental test campaigns (thermal vacuum, vibration, acoustics, EMC).
• Raise, manage and support non-conformances in the review process.
• Provide inputs to project reviews and Test Readiness/Review Boards.
