Job summary

MDA Space UK is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team, focusing on design, integration, and test of sensor and communication payload products for LEO, GEO, and Lunar satellites. The role includes engaging with customers and subcontractors, deriving requirements, and delivering flight-qualified equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in design, manufacture and test of complex technological systems.
• Experience working with and developing systems designed for Space environments.
• Familiarity with formal configuration control methods.
• Experience with test specification, planning, and procedure development for qualification and acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Providing a technical interface to customers and subcontractors.
• Capturing, deriving, and managing engineering requirements.
• Developing system architecture and concept of operations.
• Producing system budgets (power, mass, link, etc.) and interface definition.
• Analyzing performance & justifying design choices.
• Assessing reliability, availability, and maintainability (including FDIR and FMECA).
• Planning test campaigns.
• Providing oversight and supervision to different engineering disciplines during design, integration and test.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software.
• Analyzing test data and writing test reports.
• Delivering verified flight equipment compliant to customer requirements.
